Thursday 03/13

We start and end at Stoner Park then pick a Boba spot to meet up at after the run! It’ll be daylight out so no need to go crazy with reflectors and flashers, but do what makes you feel comfortable!

Sunday’s Route

Sunday 03/16

We’ll start at Stoner Park and end at Good People coffee as usual. Milad will dip out to the marathon after meeting everyone at Good People. If you want to carpool with him, he’s got room in his car. Just message him on Heylo!

Sawtelle Hike Club

Sawtelle Hike Club returns for round 2!

March’s Hike is planned to be the Zuma Trail up north of Malibu.

HOWEVER, PHC is still closed to the public as this is written….

So this is subject to change if this is still the case a week before the hike.

How long have you lived in LA? 1.5 years
How long have you been in Sawtelle? 1.5 years
What do you do for work? PhD student at UCLA: I study monkeys and how they interact with each other and their infants
What is your favorite TV show/movie? Pirates of the Caribbean, of course, for Jack Sparrow
What is your favorite book? Series ok too? Harry Potter; His Dark Materials (Philip Pullman)
What type of music do you listen to? It's a curious mix, but my GOATs are Rammstein, Apashe, and Bicep
What are your hobbies? Drawing, exploring places, rollerskating, and taking my best friend (road bike) on a ride
Favorite sports team? Ash Ketchum's.
Favorite place to eat in Sawtelle? Nijiya market. I'm not even kidding, their Japanese meals are so good.
What's a hidden gem in LA you think more people should know about? Nijiya market's meals section.
What pets do you have? Rattlesnake plant: it's like a pet, because he moves his leaves up and down throughout the day!
Got anything you want to promote?

Yes! On Tuesday March 26 and Wednesday March 27 I hold an open house sale, because I am moving to Japan at the end of this month. I hope to sell all my stuff: furniture, kitchenware, wall decoration, clothes--all has got to go. Since I only moved here last year and bought all my stuff new, stuff is all kinda new. All funds go to my upcoming research, in which I aim to save a primate species from extinction (I'm not kidding: I'll study the adorable but critically endangered Delacour's langur, of which only 250 individuals are left).
