I can’t believe it’s already over….
We started run club as a way to find other people in our neighborhood that like to be active. We thought a run club would be the best way to find those people.
And now it’s over….
Your Sawtelle Run Club team moved here in July ‘24 and didn’t know too many people on the west side.
And over 50 runs, 8 hikes, 4 social hours and 1 year of community, it’s come to an end
The first year is OVER and we got some plans to celebrate with each and every one of you guys! 🎉 🥳
We’re going to be celebrating our runners that have joined us in the first year of this amazing community
And we’ve got a few changes we’re making it easier to be apart of the SRC as well
Stay tuned for an announcement on SRC’s 1-Year birthday party! 👀
Route’s
The biggest change we’re making is to route’s.
We thought about our growing community of runners and decided it’s best for everyone that we keep routes consistent.
Our community is growing with newer runners who want to get better at running and changing routes can add to that challenge.
And the avid runners use run club to socialize more than they do to train 😅
So we’ve got our “permanent routes” for Thursday’s and Sunday’s below.
“Permanent” as in, we’ll still switch it up with different routes now and then for the occasional event, and of course the vibes.
So you’ll still get an email and an instagram post announcing any changes to routes
But expect less to keep track off going forward!
Thursday’s New “Permanent” Route
Thursday’s route is going to stay in Sawtelle and can be ran either direction. We’ll let you know which way we’re going on run day!
It’s a nice flat run through the streets of Sawtelle hooking back around to Stoner Park
Social hour is still on for Thursday’s post-run
Milad is back in town so maybe we hit Tiny’s??
Sunday’s New “Permanent” Route
Sunday’s run is a breezy run through Sawtelle!
Sunday’s route is going to be along the Expo bike path and will still end at Good People Coffee
It’s a moderate route with a few incline but no long stretches of hills, it’s a nice casual run with some quite stretches along the bike path and Idaho

Dolores Park Day at Stoner Park September 6th
There’s a giant picnic happening at Stoner Park on September 6th at 11AM!
Join us for our last Sawtelle Social at Brew Works for the year on Sept 13th at 1:30 PM.
